Molly Baz Does It Again: Say Hello to AYOH Mayo!
This week we’re talking about Molly Baz’s new mayo brand, Black Friday shopping tips, the perfect cauliflower steak recipe, and what I picked up in Palm Springs—plus so much more!
This Week’s Highlights
Say Hello to AYOH: Molly Baz’s New Mayo Masterpiece: It’s no surprise that she is entering the condiment game with her own mayo. The branding perfectly reflects her bold, vibrant style seen in Cook This Book and More is More. You can check it out here.
Unlock the Secret to Movie Theater Popcorn: I just discovered a popcorn salt blend from Flavacol that promises to deliver that iconic movie theater flavor at home. As a self-proclaimed popcorn connoisseur, I feel obligated to order it and give you the scoop. According to Reddit, things can get very salty very quickly, so I’m curious if this is actually the ticket.
Ninja now has a double-decker air fryer—was anyone really asking for this? Is it genius or overkill? Maybe I’m just not on the air fryer hype train, but this feels like a hard pass for my tiny counter.
From My Feed to Yours
I loved the latest episode of the Liz Moody Podcast, "Genius Secrets to Make Hosting Fun and Easy," featuring Gaby Dalkin. In this episode, they share tips on perfect cheeseboards, stress-free hosting, curating the right crowd, and making your event unforgettable.
This Miso Pepper Cauliflower Steaks recipe stopped me mid-scroll—it's now at the top of my "must make" list! I’m obsessed with anything Carolina Gelen shares—her recipes always hit the mark.
Serious question: Do I need this natural peanut butter hand mixer?

Black Friday Kitchen Finds: Score the Best Deals Without Overstuffing Your Drawers
Here’s my tip this week as a marketing professional: stay grounded during Black Friday madness. The discounts and sales are already rolling in, and even I get excited when high-ticket items I’ve been eyeing drop in price.
This year, my plan is simple: I’m making a list of items I genuinely want and watching for them to hit a price that feels right. If it’s not on my list, it’s not going in my cart. It’s so easy to get caught up in the frenzy and overspend on things you didn’t even want before the hype started.
What’s on my watch-list:
The Breville Barista Touch (already on sale)
Cuisinart 14-Cup Food Processor (already on sale)
Boos Cutting & Carving Block (not on sale) or this Teak Cutting Board by Williams Sonoma (also not on sale)

Stop Guessing and Start Cooking: The Case for an Oven Thermometer
If you’re serious about cooking, an oven thermometer is a total must-have. Even if you think your oven's temp is spot on, they can easily be off—and that can mean undercooked meals or burnt treats. With an oven thermometer, you’ll have total control, ensuring your dishes turn out just the way you want every time. It’s a small tool that makes a *huge* difference in getting your cooking game on point!
To really drive my point home, here’s a true story: before Thanksgiving, my oven thermometer broke, and I had no clue what temp our ancient apartment oven (probably from the 50s) was actually at. I thought I had it set to 350°F, but I’m pretty sure it was actually closer to 400°F. Long story short, my turkey was done a full hour early! Talk about a cooking curveball.
What I’m Working On
To be honest, I’m working on my content plan for @happpyher, and I’m loving it. Starting the newsletter has been such a fun and rewarding experience for me. What I enjoy most is that it’s written content vs. social posts. But I do want to connect the dots between what I’m sharing in the newsletter and my Instagram, so we can keep the conversation going and bring in new readers.
With that, I’ll leave you with a roundup of what I bought (foodie-related) on my recent trip to Palm Springs.
Thanks for tuning in this week! I hope you picked up some helpful tips and a little inspiration. I’d love to hear what you think or any ideas you have. Until next time, happy cooking.
You may now be excused!
